The GLOBED programme celebrates its 10th anniversary by inviting researchers, practitioners, policymakers, alumni, and partner organisations from around the world to participate in an open international conference to be held on 1–2 October 2026 at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
The event will provide a space for exchange and reflection on key developments in education policy and global development over the past decade, as well as on future challenges and directions in a rapidly evolving global context.
Bringing together diverse perspectives, the conference will address key contemporary challenges affecting education systems worldwide, including deepening inequalities, environmental and (geo)political crises, and the evolving role of evidence, expertise, and international organisations in education governance.
The programme will include keynote sessions, round tables, and selected presentations from an open call for contributions, encouraging participation across disciplines, regions, and professional backgrounds
