Yulia Nesterova

Dr. Yulia Nesterova is a Lecturer in International and Comparative Education based at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Her research focuses on peace and peacebuilding education and community- and youth-inclusive peacebuilding. Yulia co-led the development of a strategy on youth engagement in preventing violent extremism through education and of a framework for Together for Peace programme for Asia-Pacific, both for UNESCO. She is part of the leadership team of Justice, Insecurities and Fair Decision-Making Interdisciplinary Research Group at Glasgow and a member of the International Working Group on Youth, Peace, and Security at FBA, the Swedish Agency for Peace, Security and Development.
