Oscar Valiente is Professor of Education and International Development at the University of Glasgow. Oscar is particularly interested in the role of education and skills in global development agendas, the political economy of education reforms, and the impact of education policy on social inequality. His most recent work has focused on the international policy transfer of dual apprenticeships in India and Mexico; the comparative analysis of lifelong learning policies across Europe; and institutional dynamics of continuity and change in the VET system of Chile.
