Marcel Pagès

Marcel Pagès is Doctor in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He holds a degree in Sociology (2012) and a Masters in Social Policy, Labour and Welfare (2013). His areas of interest are related to the political sociology of education, with a focus on processes of education reform and governance and their relationship to educational inequalities. In his current position as part of the REFORMED team, Marcel conducts research on school autonomy with accountability reforms in the Spanish context. His doctoral thesis analyses the re-contextualization of New Public Management education reforms in Catalonia and Madrid, and its different impacts on the teacher profession and on schools.
