Admission & selection

GLOBED is designed to offer a scientific and theory-oriented study programme on high academic level with a strong emphasis on project work intended to highly motivated graduates, who already successfully completed a first cycle degree.

The programme has been selected for another round of funding under the Erasmus+ framework for the 2023-2029 period, which means that students who apply along the next four intakes will have the possibility to opt for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship as well.

Examples of Fields Eligible for Admission to Our Program:

      1. Educational Sciences: This field of study focuses on education as an academic discipline, encompassing its theories, practices, policies, and research. Support for Students with Special Needs

There are two scholarships available for students with special needs.

Students with special needs may be eligible for additional contributions if they meet the general eligibility conditions. To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Eligible Students: Contributions must support enrolled students (with or without a scholarship) who have a certified long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment. Certification must be provided by a competent national authority, and the impairment must be significant enough to require special items or services to enable participation in the program.
  • No Duplicate Funding: The requested special needs items or services must not already be covered by another source, such as social security or health insurance.
  • Accurate Unit Declaration: The number of declared units must reflect the actual special needs support required for program participation.
Comprehensive Support Services

All partner universities offer dedicated medical and mental health support centers on campus, along with specialized services for students with special needs. Examples include:

  • PIUNE Service at UAB – Personalized support for students with disabilities.
  • Office for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Diseases at UB – Assistance for students requiring special accommodations.
  • Togetherall (UoG) – An online platform offering mental health and wellbeing support.

Additionally, all partner universities are committed to inclusive accessibility, ensuring that campus facilities are free from architectural barriers that could hinder access for students, staff, or visiting scholars.

Support for Individual Needs of Enrolled Students

Financial support to address the specific needs of enrolled students will be provided through the following special needs unit cost levels:

  • EUR 3,000
  • EUR 4,500
  • EUR 6,000
  • EUR 9,500
  • EUR 13,000
  • EUR 18,500
  • EUR 27,500
  • EUR 35,500
  • EUR 47,500
  • EUR 60,000

Calculation of Unit Cost Contribution per Student

Enrolled students must declare the required items or services along with their estimated costs. The applicable unit cost will be determined based on the closest predefined rate that is equal to or lower than the estimated expenses. This unit cost serves as a contribution and is not intended to fully cover the actual costs.

Important Note:
Requests for costs below the minimum threshold (EUR 3,000) will not be eligible for additional support. Such expenses must be covered either through the institutional cost contribution of the EMJM or other funding sources available to the beneficiary institutions.
